Crank up your volume for this quick clip of an Aston Martin V8 Vantage GT4 class car leaving the pits at the famous Silverstone circuit in Great Britain. While the video is a quick 15 seconds it doesn’t make the Aston Martin exhaust sound any less impressive. The video shows the car cranking up, dumping the clutch, and flying out of the pits to head back onto Silverstone.
We tackled the third leg of the Targa Rally today which took everyone from Los Angeles to Santa Barbra. A great pack of cars and a timed/mile route lead to a great event. Sadly, our car broke down at the 50 mile mark of a 400 mile day trip like our Gumball 3000 trip earlier this year. We crammed our video guy in another car so he could Targa Scum it and produce us some great video. Our photographer stayed with me at Mt. Frazier as we waited 4 hours for Cadillac to come rescue us and get us in a loaner. It was of course an adventure so check out our trip inside.

Corvette Motrosports just put up a great video from the Adria 2008 event in Adria, Italy where they took home a win in the FIA GT1 class. Some tough battles and a nice spin out from an Aston Martin are all included in this five minute highlight reel.
If your not that thrilled about Formula 1 Monaco or the Indianapolis 500 this weekend then 24 Hours of Nurburgring has an alternative solution for you. They have a live stream of the 24 hour race you can tune int online, I have been watching it for a few hours on mute (since it’s in German) and it has been some enjoyable action. They are switching from helicopter shots to in- car shots and on track cameras for a decent online production.
Day 1 is now complete which was a fairly small leg of 250 miles. We started at the Santa Monica Pier and made a swing through Orange County for the D1GP event. After leaving Orange County it was a straight dash up I-15 to Las Vegas, Nevada. We have some great photos of the Brabus Mercedes SL, purple Audi R8, the Bugatti’s and much much more!
The 2009 Australian Open champion was spotted with his Aston Martin DBS. Rafael Nadal beat Roger Federer in the Finals to win the Australian Open. This was Nadal’s third victory in a row against Federer and to celebrate it looks like he scored himself this DBS.
The Aston Martin is a V12 6.0L producing 510hp and while driving this thing around we are not sure how he makes it to tennis practice. I would get “lost” quite a lot to enjoy driving this sucker. Good to know the tennis star has some nice taste in cars.
David Richards of Aston Martin has disclosed that the company is close to “technical breach of its banking covenants” at some point in 2009. While it seems like this would just be a possibility we are not sure what they mean by technically breaching in the first place. It would appear that the banks would only take back the company if they were motivated so hopefully Aston Martin and the Kuwaiti investors can come out to some form of an agreement so Aston Martin won’t change hands yet again.
We found this on G35driver and ouch! It looks like someone dropped this Aston Martin Vantage while trying to unload it. You can see the back end of the top loading trey snapped as it’s laying below on the ground. The owner of this car has to be rather upset being that he shipped it carefully to his destination. Now do you deny delivery, send it back, or just get her fixed? That is a tough call but at least he didn’t buy the car from Lamborghini of Orange County!
Check out Advan Tech Studios video from 2008. Most of the video includes car clips with the likes from Ferrari, Ford, Aston Martin, and Porsche. You will find some amazing shots and clips including a Lotus shooting up pebbles from the brim of a racetrack and a huge Mustang burnout. Check it out above!
