Lamborghini gives buyers more options in 2009

January 13th, 2009

As our cohorts at Autoblog are reporting from the floor of the 2009 Detroit Auto Show that Lamborghini is adding more personalization options to the fleet moving forward. The most notable is a series of matte paint jobs they have cooked up in the Italian factory. The light matte blue painted Lamborghini above is just one example in a series of new amazing matte colors provided by Lamborghini as factory options. The other three new colors are Nera Nemesis (matte black), Bianco Canopus (matte white) and Marrone Apus (matte brown).

Even more factory options are included such as wheel color, brake caliper color, and many more exterior modifications. Interior design can be customized with high end leathers, carbon fiber, and aluminum to really give your Lambo a special one off feel. You just have to pick the option and then pony up and it will be all yours according to the Italian supercar maker.

Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT S coming to Detroit

December 22nd, 2008

Check out another gorgeous Maserati to come out of recent times. We just covered the Maserati Gran Tursimo S MC Sportline which left me almost wanting to head to Maserati of Pasadena and see about some financial assistance or a loaner for the weekend. Now an updated Quattroporte Sport cranking up 433hp with four doors and a much more aggressive exterior is coming to the Detroit Auto show and we cannot wait. Check out the PR from Maserati below.

Maserati Press Release
Modena – December 22nd, 2008 – The new Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT S sets yet another milestone in terms of sportiness in the high performance luxury sedan segment of the automotive market . Conceived and developed as “a real driving machine in the guise of a luxury sedan ”, the Quattroporte Sport GT S is the ultimate expression of Maserati’s sportiness in the Quattroporte range.The technical changes to the new Quattroporte Sport GT S in respect to the Quattroporte S concern four areas:
• the mapping of the V8 4.7 liter engine, with power increased to 323kW (433 HP);
• the gearshift management software, with new features designed to increase driving enjoyment;
• the front and rear suspension system featuring single-rate dampers, stiffer springs and lower ride height;
• the sports exhaust controlled by pneumatic valves for a deep, throaty and captivating sound.

The sportier and more aggressive look is evident also by virtue of the interior and exterior stylistic choices:
• the new black grill with concave vertical fins featuring the Trident logo with red accents, typical of the sportier versions of Maserati models;
• the new headlights, in metallic titanium finish;
• the side and rear “shadow line”, which includes black finishing around the doors, body-colored door handles and black twin oval exhaust pipes,
• the new M-design seats with perforated Alcantara® and leather upholstery;
• the standard trim in Titantex, a “titanium colored” composite material.
