A snapshot sent to us from the Lamborghini Club of America run late last month. I bet you cannot imagine what this group of cars sounded like driving by.

Lamborghini Beverly Hills has this gorgeous car sitting around waiting for you to pluck it up. The car is brand spanking new with zero mileage but you must inquire the dealer for a price at (888) 291-5533).

I went down to see this car in person recently and let me tell you that it looks amazing. This isn’t just an everyday Gallardo which are seen quite commonly around the Beverly Hills area.

The car is limited to 250 units and the version is named after Lamborghini test driver Valentino Balboni which you can see above. The engine is rated at 550 PS (405 kW; 542 hp). The vehicle has a dry weight of 1,380 kg (3,000 lb). Unlike the contemporary line-up, this model is rear wheel drive (because the standard all-wheel drive system was removed).
The CORSA ESP setting allows greater drift angles over regular models. Other features include re-calibrated optional e-gear transmission, redeveloped 45% limited slip differential, full leather black upholstery with white colour strips, Polar white centre console, a stripe down the centre of the car, and a badge below the left side window bears the signature of Valentino Balboni and the production number of the car. The Lamborghini LP 550-2 Valentino Balboni can reach a top speed of 199 mph and reach 0–100 km/h in 3.9 seconds.

In 2009, the car was voted Top Gear’s car of the year; Richard Hammond explained: “We were impressed with its stripe, its V10 engine, its rear wheel drive, the savagery of its exhaust, and its stripe.” Here are the details from Lamborghini Beverly Hills:

We tackled the third leg of the Targa Rally today which took everyone from Los Angeles to Santa Barbra. A great pack of cars and a timed/mile route lead to a great event. Sadly, our car broke down at the 50 mile mark of a 400 mile day trip like our Gumball 3000 trip earlier this year. We crammed our video guy in another car so he could Targa Scum it and produce us some great video. Our photographer stayed with me at Mt. Frazier as we waited 4 hours for Cadillac to come rescue us and get us in a loaner. It was of course an adventure so check out our trip inside.

A quick snapshot of a Lamborghini LP670 SV that has been matte blacked with black wheels to boot. This thing looks more sinister than almost any Lamborghini I have ever seen. The guys at GT Spirit did a good job finding this one.

Spotted in Cannes, France is this gorgeous desert camouflage Ferrari 599. The line of cars looks like a super head turning one with that Lamborghini sitting behind it. Yes, that is a new Lamborghini LP670 SV that you just saw driven on Top Gear in Abu Dhabi. The French Riviera has the worst traffic in the summer time but it’s a great place to exotic car spot.

The biggest collection of exotics under one roof in Nevada can easily be found at Lamborghini Las Vegas just south of the famous Las Vegas Strip. Lamborghini Las Vegas is also an official dealer for Spyker, Koenigsegg, and Bugatti adding plenty of gorgeous cars to check out on the show floor. They even have a Lamborghini LM002 tucked away in the back.

A Lamborghini only series which has finally arrived and this video from Lamborghini München Team Holzer is above. The drivers are Achim Winter and Uwe Alzen and they started this race at P4. Something about a gaggle of Lamobrghini LP560’s flying around a track really gets us excited so please enjoy it as much as we did.

Gold+Rush+Trailer

The 2009 Gold Rush Rally started in San Francisco and finished up in Las Vegas this year. They took 50 cars over a span of 800 miles to complete this mini rally. Above is a preview video running almost three minutes covering some of the great machines in the rally including the guys who went as far to wrap their cars in gold.

A true Lamborghini fan probably has to pick his jaw up off the ground right now but these black and white stills are just breath taking of the Lamborghini factory from the 1960’s. The car above is a Lamborghini Miura is the car above was the car that set the mid-engine layout standard for future Italian machines. Only 764 were built in history from the Lamborghini factory. The Lamborghini Gallardo LP 550-2 is based off the LP560-4 and will be limited to 250 units worldwide. The de-tuned 5.2L V10 engine will produce 550 horsepower and ditch the all-wheel drive system. E-Gear is optional in this model as well. The LP 550-2 runs 0 to 60 in 3.9 seconds and has a top speed of 199mph. Sticker price if you can find one of the 250 units is set at $219,800! Enough about all these little detals let’s just drool over this great machine.
