A Lamborghini only series which has finally arrived and this video from Lamborghini München Team Holzer is above. The drivers are Achim Winter and Uwe Alzen and they started this race at P4. Something about a gaggle of Lamobrghini LP560’s flying around a track really gets us excited so please enjoy it as much as we did.
Global Motorsports Group (GMG) is known as one of North America’s top performance tuning facilities. The 15,000 square foot shop is located in Santa Ana, California which is nestled right in the heart of Orange County. The shop was founded in 2001 by James Sofronas and Fabryce Kutyba where they have grown from a 1,200 square foot facility. The current GMG location is located right across the street from Porsche Motorsport North America giving them some of the best access to Porsche tuning and development of race products.
GMG has grown within the exotic community with it’s Porsche racing legacy they have established. Just over the fourth of July weekend the StopTech/GMG guys took home first place in their Porsche 911 GT3. Dino Crescentini drove the Porsche to victory at the Watkins Glen event. SPEED TV has a delayed broadcast on the event so you can check it out Tuesday, July 22 at 2 p.m. (EDT). The SCCA Pro Racing SPEED World Challenge GT Championship next travels to Autobahn Country Club for Round Seven, July 24-26th if you want to see these guys in action.
GMG also stands out from most shops here in Southern California as they produce their own line of parts mainly for the Porsche segment. Above is a photo of the Porsche 997 GT3/RS WC-Sport Center Section exhaust that you can purchase. They even have an amazing sounding exhaust for the Porsche Carrera GT which you have to hear for yourself to believe.
In case your busy or don’t live anywhere near Orange County we took a whole shop tour for everyone at LuxuryVice to check out. Fabryce Kutyba was kind of enough to open all the doors to the shop for us and give you guys a full profile of what is going on over at GMG currently.
Clash Productions went to SPA for a Porsche event and came back with this amazing video. Nice work as always from the Clash Productions crew that followed around a Porsche 997 GT-3 RSR which is prepared by Lammertink Racing and Engineering.
The BMW Alpina B6 GT3 was followed around at the 24 Hours of Nürburgring by one of our favorite videography guys Clash Productions. We posted a link to the live 24 hour webfeed but now you can check out some amazing production video from the event. Clash followed the Alpina B6 GT3 which had to be one of the best looking cars on the track over the weekend.
Corvette Motrosports just put up a great video from the Adria 2008 event in Adria, Italy where they took home a win in the FIA GT1 class. Some tough battles and a nice spin out from an Aston Martin are all included in this five minute highlight reel.
If your not that thrilled about Formula 1 Monaco or the Indianapolis 500 this weekend then 24 Hours of Nurburgring has an alternative solution for you. They have a live stream of the 24 hour race you can tune int online, I have been watching it for a few hours on mute (since it’s in German) and it has been some enjoyable action. They are switching from helicopter shots to in- car shots and on track cameras for a decent online production.
The Redbull Energy Drink Formula 1 RB5 has arrived just in time before the Formula 1 season. They are behind the Ferrari F60 unveil and the McLaren Mercedes MP4-24 which have some pretty similar new styles under the new rules and regulations set by the FIA. Redbull has dubbed this project the RB5. The car was just unveiled at the Jerez Circuit in Spain. The two 2009 Redbull drivers were present which includes Mark Weber and newly promoted driver Sebastian Vettel. Vettel comes to the team from Toro Rosso B-squad and drove a few laps in the RB5 for press and those in attendance until a gearbox problem forced Redbull to park it.
Following Toyota and the Ferrari F60 have we present to you the 2009 McLaren Mercedes MP4-24 launch. The view from this photogrpah really shows you the how small the rear aerofolia is. Like the Toyota and Ferrari you can see the gorgeous Bridgestone slicks and subtle changes from the 2008 model. Lewis Hamilton will surely be looking for a back to back defeat of team Ferrari in 2009. The only question remaining is can he do it? Find out soon as the 2009 Formula 1 season kicks off.
Clearly the bred champions of Italy have lost quite some sleep over the one point loss to McLaren in the 2008 Formula 1 system. They are already hitting the track with the new F60 Ferrari F1 machine and getting ready to win this year in 2009. Man, this should be an amazing season.
