They say a picture is worth a thousand words so I’ll keep this post short. Nothing really left to say.

We tackled the third leg of the Targa Rally today which took everyone from Los Angeles to Santa Barbra. A great pack of cars and a timed/mile route lead to a great event. Sadly, our car broke down at the 50 mile mark of a 400 mile day trip like our Gumball 3000 trip earlier this year. We crammed our video guy in another car so he could Targa Scum it and produce us some great video. Our photographer stayed with me at Mt. Frazier as we waited 4 hours for Cadillac to come rescue us and get us in a loaner. It was of course an adventure so check out our trip inside.

Global Motorsports Group (GMG) is known as one of North America’s top performance tuning facilities. The 15,000 square foot shop is located in Santa Ana, California which is nestled right in the heart of Orange County. The shop was founded in 2001 by James Sofronas and Fabryce Kutyba where they have grown from a 1,200 square foot facility. The current GMG location is located right across the street from Porsche Motorsport North America giving them some of the best access to Porsche tuning and development of race products.
GMG has grown within the exotic community with it’s Porsche racing legacy they have established. Just over the fourth of July weekend the StopTech/GMG guys took home first place in their Porsche 911 GT3. Dino Crescentini drove the Porsche to victory at the Watkins Glen event. SPEED TV has a delayed broadcast on the event so you can check it out Tuesday, July 22 at 2 p.m. (EDT). The SCCA Pro Racing SPEED World Challenge GT Championship next travels to Autobahn Country Club for Round Seven, July 24-26th if you want to see these guys in action.
GMG also stands out from most shops here in Southern California as they produce their own line of parts mainly for the Porsche segment. Above is a photo of the Porsche 997 GT3/RS WC-Sport Center Section exhaust that you can purchase. They even have an amazing sounding exhaust for the Porsche Carrera GT which you have to hear for yourself to believe.
In case your busy or don’t live anywhere near Orange County we took a whole shop tour for everyone at LuxuryVice to check out. Fabryce Kutyba was kind of enough to open all the doors to the shop for us and give you guys a full profile of what is going on over at GMG currently.

I remember years ago back before YouTube and Streetfire the automotive scene would trade/share/post videos in .mpeg or .wmv formats on car forums and other places. Back in that area I remember the Norcal guys had one of the best street racing scenes I had ever seen. This video brings me back to those Bay Area memories as a yellow Porsche Carrera GT battles a 2009 Corvette ZR1, a Porsche 911 997 Evotech Kit, and a camera car Nissan GT-R.
A quick visit to Village Coffee Roasters we found some great machines sitting in the parking lot even though we showed up a little late. We found two Vector’s, a Tesla Roadster, and a great group of Porsche’s. Visit our gallery for some great highlights of the event and we will be attending more soon.

PORSCHE SPA 2009 from Clashproduction on Vimeo.
Clash Productions went to SPA for a Porsche event and came back with this amazing video. Nice work as always from the Clash Productions crew that followed around a Porsche 997 GT-3 RSR which is prepared by Lammertink Racing and Engineering.

A very entertaining segment of the rally was Dallas, Texas rolling into New Orleans, LA. Some cars have seen battle damage already including this Porsche GT3 that had to use some tape to secure it’s drivers side headlight.

Day 4 was a pretty long hike with two pit stops including the Caddy Ranch and a lunch at the Big Texas Steak Ranch. After those quick checkpoints the drivers headed south in Texas towards downtown Dallas, Texas. At the W Hotel we were treated to some A class service and a great party on the roof at Ghost Bar. Enjoy the content from Day 4.

Day 1 is now complete which was a fairly small leg of 250 miles. We started at the Santa Monica Pier and made a swing through Orange County for the D1GP event. After leaving Orange County it was a straight dash up I-15 to Las Vegas, Nevada. We have some great photos of the Brabus Mercedes SL, purple Audi R8, the Bugatti’s and much much more!

FAIRFAX, Virginia, April 29, 2009 – ExxonMobil today announced that Mobil 1, the world’s leading fully synthetic motor oil, has been selected as the factory and service-fill endorsed motor oil for all models of the new 2010 Porsche Panamera.
Scheduled to be introduced in Fall 2009, the new, four-door Panamera represents Porsche’s first-ever luxury Gran Turismo.
The Panamera will be available as the Porsche Panamera Turbo, which features a 4.8-liter turbocharged Porsche engine with advanced direct fuel injection (DFI) technology, and delivers more than 500 horsepower.
In addition, all models of the Panamera will be among the first Porsche vehicles to be equipped with automatic engine start/stop functionality, which helps enhance fuel economy by allowing the engine to shut down and minimize idling during common daily driving conditions, such as, being stopped at an intersection or in traffic.
“As the world’s leading synthetic motor oil, Mobil 1 has, for more than a decade, played a significant role in helping Porsche achieve new milestones in automotive engine technology and performance,” said Lawrence Kearns, Global Automotive Marketing Manager, ExxonMobil Lubricants & Petroleum Specialties Company. ”We look forward to the launch of the new Panamera and helping Porsche mark another milestone in performance excellence.”
The 2010 Porsche Panamera Turbo will be available first in Europe starting in September, with roll out to other markets, such as the United States, to begin in October. Beyond the Panamera Turbo, the other models in the Panamera family include the Panamera 4S and Panamera S.
Chosen by more original equipment manufacturers than any other oil brand, Mobil 1 is the world’s leading fully synthetic motor oil. Additional information about Mobil 1 and other ExxonMobil lubricants can be found at www.mobil1.com.
