While everyone has been talking about the new Porsche Museum we have some photographs to give you a preview of what is in store if you get a chance to make a visit. Right at 80 historic vehicles can be found inside this gorgeous museum sitting at Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen site. This one had to hurt as we found these photos of a Porsche Carrera GT wedged in between a concrete median and a wall just outside of Marbella, Spain this past week. This photo along with the few others is all we really saw of the car but I think it’s a safe assumpiton that this thing is totaled. No information was provided as to weather the driver was alright or if he had a passenger.
Thus gorgeous photograph captured a white Porsche 993 shooting flames out of it’s dual exhausts on the dyno. Wish we had more information on the Porsche but the poster didn’t really provide any other information.
The GT3 will land at US dealers in October 2009 and start at $112,000. The car will be seen in person for the first time at the Geneva Motor Show. This new and improved GT3 will produce 435hp naturally aspirated. It goes knot to 60 in 4.1 seconds. Part of the makeover also includes better handling, dampening, and the ESC and TCS can be disengaged seperatly. More information on this gorgeous machine as it becomes available.
At the end of the month the new Porsche museum will open it’s doors to the public for the first time. Porsche has reffered to this new building at Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen it’s “business card.” With just short of 6,000 square meters of exhibit space the building will house 80 histroic racing vehicles special to Porsche and over 200 exhibits about the company.
Porsche built this place anticipating around 200,000 vistors a year and entertain the Porsche community as a whole with vintage vehicles and rich history. The museum’s operating hours are daily from 9:00am to 6:00pm with the exception of Monday’s. Make sure you swing by next time your overseas.
Starting in April if your purchasing a 911 Carrera and Targa 4 you will find a new box to check at the dealership. For $2,500 you can purchase a new quad tip exhaust that is adjustable from within the cabin. The exhaust note will vary between engine load and speed bringing a whole new meaning to the true sound of your exotic car! The great news for you current 911 owners is that the package can be retrofitted onto your Porsche as well.
