At first the New York Times and many other major media outlets published that over 3,000 cars have been abandoned at the Dubai Airport as a result of the global recession. They claimed people were fleeing quick and heading back to their respective countries as visa’s were being canned.
According to the Arabianbusiness.com only 11 cars have been left at the Dubai Airport since January 1st, 2008. The chief of police reports no one “fact checked with him” on any of this information before publishing it. Regardless of what is true the UAE is still largely a car culture country and as long as the country is still around we assume people will still be wielding amazing luxury machines that we can feature here.

Everyone was up in arms when the largest Lamborghini dealer in the WORLD closed down without notice in November. Some people predicted it was the beginning of tougher times while others got left high and dry on vehicles. It turns out now that Volkswagon has filed a lawsuit against Lamborghini Orange County for the tune of $12,000,000 and suddenly things are becoming more clear. According to the lawsuit,
“The owners of Lamborghini Orange County in Santa Ana committed “outright theft” of approximately $12 million by selling its fleet of exotic sports cars at deep discounts and failing to pay their creditor, according to a lawsuit filed by Volkswagen Credit Inc. in Orange County Superior Court.”
According to this suit within the last 8 days they were open for business they unloaded 54 cars at hefty discounts! This total (54 Lamborghini’s) accounts for 8% of total Lambo sales for the 2008 year. Volkswagon knows they got some money but are not exactly sure where it went but they claim it wasn’t to them! Apparently VW isn’t the only ones looking for it’s money. Other news has come out that multiple suits based on money issues have come forward.
“In a separate suit filed in Orange County Superior Court, East-West Bank is suing the Keuylians and Lamborghini Orange County for defaulting on a $3 million loan, for which they failed make payments in November and December.
Another lawsuit filed in Las Vegas seeks $340,000 from Vik Keuylian for failing to pay him for a 2008 Lamborghini Murcielago formerly owned by Stephen Cloobeck, owner of Diamond Resorts.
“They took the car but never gave me the check,” Cloobeck said.”

The former NFL running champion has run into some troubles off the field. Unlike other NFL stars who get involved in crime or shootings as of late he has a problem with his Ferrari. Corey is claiming he was taken for over $500,000 by a shop not even authorized to work on Ferrari vehicles.
According to a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles county court, Corey Dillon states he dropped his Ferrari F430 off at a shop in LA to get a twin turbo kit installed on his Ferrari during May 2007. The project was set to cost around $55,000 but during this process of installment the owners tricked him into investing almost $500,000 into their business. Of course as you can imagine the deal went south from here. He was scheduled to get his car in November 2007 but finally in July of 2008 he said no work was ever done. With a tow company and LA’s finest he had them bring the car to another shop.
Somehow while the shop did not install the turbo kit they managed to do $34,400 in damages that came out of Corey Dillon’s pocket to even get the Ferrari back on the road. Corey is taking this shop to court for the money he spent to fix the Ferrari, and his full investment into the business which is roughly around $470,000. He claims the shop poorly spent the money on things such as fast food, liquor, and gasoline. Oh dear is all we have to say, check out a shop before dropping your car off, reference checks are KEY.
