Bank of America Financing Has Arrived for Tesla Roadster

July 14th, 2009

A major break through for the electric supercar OEM Tesla today comes from Charlotte, North Carolina. The major bank will offer financing packages for the Tesla Roadster. With a retail value around $100,000 you would be looking at a $1,650 payment roughly with a $20,000 down payment, the $7,500 federal tax credit, and 7.7% financing over 60 months. It looks like the goverment loans Tesla got are helping some people out there take them much more seriously as a car brand.

July 13th, 2009

With Robert Nardelli behind the wheel of Chrysler we may never know the truth about the Viper brand. He is not the outgoing CEO but while he was steering the ship the Viper brand went on sale. Robert claims they go no worthy offers for the brand while others in the company said they had offers that were three times what they were asking for. Regardless Chrysler has claimed the Viper brand is here to stay for 2010 and beyond.

Ferrari F-430 on Fire at Targa Trophy Run 2009

July 11th, 2009

While we didn’t attend the Targa Trophy 2009 run we did find this on a friends Facebook page today. In the middle of the run the car was engulfed with flames and burnt to a crisp. Out in the canyon they couldn’t get a quick response team to the fire and the Ferrari F-430 was a right off from what we were told. The driver was not the owner of the car from the information we have heard on top of everything else. This isn’t as heart wrenching since we recently saw that Ferrari Enzo that burst into flames but it still is a swift kick of reality in such a gorgeous color as well.

Gold Bugatti Veyron

This is the best piece I have seen Gumball 3000 produce from this 2009 rally to date. It really gives you a true feeling of the insanity going on during the seven days your on the road attempting to make it across the country. This is a must watch clip for any Gumball fans.

Top Gear Rips Apart the SL65 AMG Black

July 7th, 2009

SL65 AMG Black

Normally I never encourage anyone (including myself) to take Jeremy Clarkson seriously but his new review of the SL65 AMG black really caught my attention. The most uncomfortable car he has ever sat in which he compared to a pile of rocks. A 5 speed transmission and no electronic suspension all comes with a $299,999 price tag from Mercedes. While the SLR has a MSRP of $495,000 it is not a far comparision to the AMG black test they conducted. Watch the video for yourself and let us know what you think, was the review fair?
